About Us

Hi, and welcome to The Hygge Suite! We’re a husband and wife team, accompanied by our daughter – CCO (Chief Cute Officer). We love animals and have a horse and two Cockapoos. We’re originally from the UK, and have lived in Minnesota since 2015, and love it… even the winters!

With Jo’s marketing, real estate and interior design skills and Harvey’s project management and IT skills, we combined our talents and passions to bring you The Hygge Suite brand of vacation rentals.

The Hygge Suite concept is all about getting away from it all. Something that is so important in today’s fast-paced world. Being away from the cities, surrounded by nature allows you the time to unwind, relax and reconnect with loved ones and what really matters in life.

The word “hygge” is Danish and means to have “a calm and comfortable time with friends and family; an atmosphere of warmth, well-being and cosiness, enjoying life’s simple pleasures.”

This is exactly the atmosphere we wanted to create for our guests, and perfectly describes the mission of The Hygge Suite.
